Margaret Atwood’s stage adaptation of her own novel blows apart the story of the faithful, chaste Penelope of Homer’s Odyssey and gives us a witty, tragic, colourful, pragmatic, wife and mother……. recounting her story from the bowels of Hades. The all female ensemble sweep us along and give us a totally different perspective on the woman behind the myth. Powerful, musical storytelling of the highest order. Presented by third year Trinity College Carmarthen students of BA Acting and BA Theatre Design & Production with the direction of Elin Bowman.
The Department of Classics will be visiting the performance in the Halliwell Theatre at Trinity College Carmarthen on the 1st of December, 7.30pm. Cost: £5 (to cover entrance & bus).
If you would like to join us for this visit, please put your name on the list on the Classics notice board or e-mail Mirjam Plantinga (m.plantinga@lamp.ac.uk) by 1 November 2009.
