The close-knit academic community at Lampeter makes interdisciplinary study a particularly rich experience. Joint Honours (JH) students specialize in two subjects and the modular approach means that your Joint Honours studies are just as specialised as those of a Single Honours student and of the same academic standard.
Choosing a JH degree means that you can design a course to suit your particular interest: indeed, more than 300 JH subject combinations are possible!
If you are unsure which degree scheme you wish to read, we often recommend that you initially enrol for a JH degree. With a careful selection of modules, and we will provide guidance with this, you can decide at the end of your first year whether you wish to continue to study two subjects under a JH scheme or whether you would be happier concentrating your efforts on a SH degree scheme.
If you wish to study three subjects, this is known as a Combined Honours degree, and you should apply for UCAS course code Y001.
Degree course titles and UCAS course codes are listed in the A-Z of Joint Honours courses.
All degrees are also available as 2 year Diploma courses - please contact the Admissions Office for the UCAS course code
