Employers today want more than just a degree they want to know that you have proven yourself in a working environment, and this means having some work experience.

The Employability Unit is able to support students and graduates who wish to gain work experience, whether it is locally in Wales, anywhere else in the UK, or even abroad.
The Employability Unit has produced a booklet called “A Students Guide to Work Experience” to help you to identify the different types of work experience that are available to you, and outline the support that is available to you to access this.

- GO Wales Opportunities
If you are looking for work experience in Wales then GO Wales (Graduate Opportunities Wales) runs two work experience schemes that can help you: GO Wales Work Placements (paid 10 week project based placements) and GO Wales Work Tasters (short, flexible periods of unpaid work experience designed to help you make a career choice).
