James Luchte is a Lecturer of Philosophy, and Programme Co-ordinator for the MA in European Philosophy in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Wales, Lampeter.

He is a member of The British Society of Phenomenology, The Society for Phenomenological and Existential Philosophy, The Friedrich Nietzsche Society, The American Philosophical Association, and is on the Board of Advisors of the Nietzsche Circle.
