DAY AT LAMPETER is marked by a Procession of Graduands for each of the
congregations, all
of which take place in the
Arts Hall. This panorama shows the 2nd degree day procession at 12.15
on 2nd July 1999 and is a surprisingly successful experiment at capturing
a crowd scene. Facing the front of the procession is Geraint Davies,
Manager of the Media Centre, filming the events for posterity. The purpose-built
Media Centre, used for the Department of Film and Media's Digital Video
production modules, is the building next to the car park, whilst the
colonnaded building is the recently refurbished Lloyd Thomas Hall and
Refectory.
