Press ReleasesLampeter Students “YOMP The Nations” A team of eight students from the University of Wales Lampeter, took part in a prestigious Wales-wide enterprise competition recently.
“YOMPING The Nations” is a business game which involves groups of students from different universities acting out business scenarios in front of a “Dragons Den”-style panel of business experts. During the day of the YOMP, the eight Lampeter students, from departments as diverse as Ancient History and Information Technology had to mould themselves into the Board of a theoretical design and manufacturing business. Once the team had agreed their business aims they had to develop a strategy, meet with business experts and, ultimately, sell their business idea to the YOMP Panel.
