Archaeological Services (UWLAS)

UWLAS draws on the considerable staff expertise and resources of the Department of Archaeology & Anthropology at Lampeter (RAE: 50% of research output ‘world leading’ or ‘internationally excellent’), and a network of external organisations and specialists. We currently offer a range of professional consultancy services in environmental archaeology for clients in public, private and voluntary sector organisations, as well as providing support for academic research projects at UWL and other universities world-wide (see quality assurance statement). The range of services will be extended in due course.

Over the past decade we have completed nearly 200 research contracts for more than 80 clients. Where appropriate, and with the consent of clients, our results are disseminated to a wider audience through academic publications, conference and local community presentations, public talks, media coverage, etc.
