Introduction

The Cynefin Green Health Hub hosts therapeutic events in natural outdoor settings. Established in 2022 not far from the town of Carmarthen, the Hub offers a base for a range of activities, including; sensory walks, health walks, fire-making, living willow weaving, tending the community garden and more!

We work with several partners to run activities that promote well-being, social bonding, and knowledge of the natural world.

Bespoke Walks

Sensory Walks

A group of young people pause during a walk down a woodland path.

We offer bespoke Sensory walks. We have created them with people with disabilities, carers, and disability professionals in mind, though all are welcome to join one. On these walks you can explore the world around you through sight, smell, sound and touch.

Weekly Health Walks

Join us on our weekly health walks, starting on Tuesday 6th February at 10.30am.

Location

The Hub is situated less than two miles from the centre of Carmarthen. Based in a field surrounded by woodland and farmland and overlooking the River Towy, our quiet location is well-suited to exploring the outdoors, learning practical skills, or just sitting by the woodburner in the evening.

All access to the site is by arrangement with Andrew Williams only, see contact information.

Travel

  • There is parking available onsite.

By car, the Hub is five minutes from Carmarthen, or one hour from Swansea following the M4 and A48.

  • The Carmarthen bus services 226 and 227 stop on Llansteffan Road a short walk from the Hub. They do not run on Sundays.

  • We are currently developing improvements to our disabled access.

  • You can walk to the Hub from Carmarthen in about 30 minutes via a marked footpath that follows the River Towy.
